Description This program builds upon the pre-existing Science and Math Living/Learning Community at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania by providing scholarships and support services to the members of the community. The goals of this project are to recruit academically-excellent students to the STEM programs; to increase the retention of STEM majors; to improve student support programs for STEM students, and to increase the number of students graduating in STEM fields. By living in the Science & Math Living-Learning Community scholarship recipients will experience greater interaction with the faculty, increased learning opportunities outside the classroom, and a greater probability of attending and/or presenting at professional conferences in their discipline.
