Edinboro Film Series slates movies plus Spotlight Event

The Edinboro Film Series has scheduled seven movies this spring plus the Spotlight Event -- "Mystery Team" -- Monday, Feb. 8, in the Cole Auditorium in Memorial Hall. Monday's event will include the "Mystery Team" movie, a Derrick Comedy performance, a meet and greet session with members of the cast and crew plus more.

Play ball

Edinboro's Tommy Gray brings the ball upcourt early in game against Alabama Friday, Feb. 5, in McComb Fieldhouse. The Scots hosted wheelchair teams from three U.S. universities plus the French national team in a tournament through Sunday, Feb. 7. Edinboro beat Alabama and the University of Illinois women's team but lost to the University of Illinois men's team and the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater. (Posted: Feb. 5)

EUP policeman wins county honor

Edinboro University police Corporal Scott Byerly has been named Erie County Police Officer of the Month by ErieAlert.com, the Erie County district attorney's website. Byerly is Edinboro's K-9 officer and serves with Sultan, a Belgian Malinois.

 

EUP student entries sought in King contest

Edinboro University is seeking student entries for the 2010 Martin Luther King Jr. Expressions of Remembrance Contest. Students are asked to submit original works -- such as essays, fiction, art, poetry, etc. -- related to King's ideas, vision and teachings.
