On the lamb

GM, EUP open school year Monday

If you want a chicken pattie or hot ham and cheese sandwich -- and you go to General McLane High School -- you're in luck. That's what's on the lunch menu for the first day of classes Monday, Aug. 30, when the school district begins the 2010-11 school year. The academic year also starts Monday at Edinboro University. But lunch choices are up to you.

A website that seeks to feature information on Edinboro businesses is up and running. Local businesses are being asked to submit information to the website with the address of www.edinboro.cc. The site also includes a local events calendar, a map feature and more.

 

Edinboro named a Heritage Community

Edinboro was named a Route 6 Heritage Community recently by the Pennsylvania Route 6 Heritage Corp., which promotes the scenic drive in the state. The announcement was made in a news conference at Eclectic Etceteras in downtown Edinboro. Click here for the story on Goerie.com.
