Historical group sticks Maple Fest on first days of spring

The Edinboro Area Historical Society will be kicking off spring with its First Annual Maple Festival with pancakes, sausage and locally made syrup served up from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 20 and 21 at the Edinboro Fire Hall at125 Meadville St. The event will benefit the historical society and the Edinboro Volunteer Fire Department. The syrup festival will also include an arts and crafts show and live music.

Puff?

The magic dragon? Maybe. Some folks found him ... her? ... hiding in a snow bank along Water Street in Edinboro. And this real cool sculpture may be just in time for an upcoming event, as long as it doesn't get too warm outside in the meantime. A local organization is encouraging folks to create a snowman or sculpture on March 20-21 ... Mother Nature willing. (Posted: March 4)
