King wins national title, Donahoe 2nd, Gillespie 4th

ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Edinboro University's Jarrod King came back for the Fighting Scots.
Back from an injury that sidelined him for a big part of the season. Back from a No. 12 seed in the NCAA Division I national championship tournament.
Back to win the national crown for the Boro in the 165-pound weight class Saturday night, March 21, in St. Louis, Mo. And in so doing he led the Scots to a sixth-place finish overall.
King won a tight match 3-2 over No. 2 seed Andrew Howe of Wisconsin. King took a 1-0 lead with an escape at the start of the second period, and Howe tied the scored with an escape at the start of the third period.
Then early in the third period, King got a takedown, which gave him a 3-1 lead, and he held on to win the title.
King was one of three Scots to earn All-American status. Paul Donahoe finished in second place in the 125-pound weight class, losing 2-1, and teammate Gregor Gillespie finished fourth in the 157-pound weight class.
