Boro wins EWL meet; 4 Scots win titles

No. 1 Gannon beats Boro women in PSAC playoffs

The Edinboro University Fighting Scots battled Gannon to a 36-36 tie at halftime, but the top-ranked Knights pulled away late in the second period to beat the Boro 81-67 in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference women's playoff basketball game Tuesday, March 2, at Gannon.

Boro men end year with win over playoff-bound Clarion

Edinboro's men's basketball team finished its season with heads high, beating playoff-bound Clarion 86-79 in overtime Saturday, Feb. 27, in McComb Fieldhouse. The game was tied 30-30 at the half and 71-71 at the end of regulation play. Danny Walsh led the Scots with 19 points.

Meadville edges GM boys in District 10 playoff game

Meadville held off a General McLane comeback in the second half, making three free throws in the final seconds to win 67-62 in a District 10 Class AAA boys basketball game Sunday, Feb. 28, at Edinboro University's McComb Fieldhouse.

Franklin beats GM girls in District 10 basketball

Franklin beat General McLane 57-40 in a District 10 girls basketball playoff game Saturday, Feb. 27, at Slippery Rock University. The Lancers' record is 14-8 overall.

Edinboro University's Hannah Kucewicz leads her heat of the women's 800-meter run at the PSAC indoor track and field championships Sunday, Feb. 28, in the Edinboro sports dome. Boro runners place in PSAC indoor meet

Edinboro University's Tina Yi and Hannah Kucewicz turned in top five finishes at the PSAC indoor track championships Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 27-28 in the Zafirovski Dome at EUP. Shippensburg won the women's title and Lock Haven won the men's crown.

 

GM third in D-10 wrestling tourney

General McLane finished third in the District 10 Class AAA wrestling tournament Saturday, Feb. 27, at McDowell Intermediate. Six Lancers placed in the top four in their weight classes to advance to the Northwest Region tournament in Altoona.
