Crunch time
Fall practice is under way in earnest in mid-August as the Fighting Scots get ready in Sox Harrison Stadium for the 2008 season. Edinboro opens its season at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at West Liberty (W.Va.) State. The Boro doesn't open its home schedule until the fourth week of the season, when the team plays the California University of Pennsylvania Vulcans at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20. (Posted: Aug. 15) |

University opens fall semester classes on Aug. 25
Edinboro University will be open for business on Monday, Aug. 25, with the start of fall semester classes. The school will take a day off a week later to observe Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 1. University athletic teams are also scheduled to be busy the first week. Follow the link below to see the sports schedule.

General McLane students head back to school Aug. 27
The General McLane School District will start classes on Wednesday, Aug. 27. But teachers will start earlier in the week with in-service days on Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 25-26. And freshman orientation will begin at 8 a.m. on Tuesday. Then the school district will take a break for Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 1. The first week of school is also filled with scheduled sports events.
