Pennsylvania Economic Review

The Pennsylvania Economic Review, a publication of the Pennsylvania Economic Association (PEA), publishes scholarly articles and book reviews submitted from anywhere in the world and in all economic areas. The PER also welcomes submissions containing an analysis of the Pennsylvania economy. It encourages members of the Pennsylvania Economic Association who present papers at the Association s Annual Conferences to submit their papers for possible publication. Referees evaluate articles that authors submit for possible publication. The editor, assisted by the recommendations of the referees and his/her editorial board, accepts or rejects an article for publication.

Note that the Pennsylvania Economic Review also is listed through the EBSCO data base with full text reference.

The Pennsylvania Economic Review is a biannual, refereed journal sponsored by the Pennsylvania Economic Association. The journal accepts articles and book reviews on any economic topic. Article submission fees are $25 for nonmembers and $10 for members of the PEA. The subscription price for institutions and nonmembers is $25 per year. (Members of the Association receive the journal without additional cost.) Send all subscription orders to the editor. Note: All fees and subscription prices are subject to revision at the discretion of the Editorial Board.

Submit manuscripts in triplicate. Make all submissions double-spaced and no longer than 25 pages. Put notes, tables and references at the end of the paper on separate pages. Subscription

Submission Guidelines

Double-space all manuscripts and make them no more than 25 pages including references, notes, and tables. Send manuscripts in triplicate to: John Misner, Editor, Pennsylvania Economic Review, Business School, 304 Eisenberg Building, Slippery Rock University, Slippery Rock, PA  16057.

Place the title, author's name, affiliation, address, and phone number only on the title page. An abstract may follow on another page; however, place the author's name only on the title page. Put references, notes and tables at the end of the paper.

Article submission fees are $25 for nonmembers and $10 for members of the Pennsylvania Economic Association. (Membership in the PEA is $75 per year.) Members of the PEA receive the journal without additional cost. Please make all checks payable to the Pennsylvania Economic Association.

*If the PER accepts a manuscript, authors must send both a hard copy and diskette file to the editor. The preferred word processing software is Word for Windows; however, WordPerfect for Windows is acceptable. The author must enclose a cover letter giving the manuscript title and the word processor used.
